Exploring Consumer Usage of Digital Media for Finding Local Businesses in U.S. Cities
Digital media has completely transformed the way consumers find, engage and eventually make a purchase at a local business. Whether websites, social media, ratings and reviews or mobile apps, consumers look to these digital outlets to inform purchase decisions.
But how does digital usage vary by city? Does the size of the city matter? Which city in the U.S. has the most digitally-engaged consumers? These are some of the questions we attempt to answer in this report which analyzes proprietary LSA data from a survey of over 8,000 U.S. consumers.
The report looks at cities across the U.S. with varying population sizes and explores how often consumers in these cities have used various digital outlets to find local business information in the past week. The cities featured in the report include: New York City, Phoenix, San Diego, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Cleveland and more.
